I was after her for a couple months, last time I saw her at great price, but paint in her eyes was damaged, so I passed, and this time I was lucky. And she has the best box hair from all my dolls (except Wydowna - she had no problem )...

And Watzit is instant friend with Ghoulia :)

Loose tooth

Im so excited for my new handbag. I mentioned it here, and today it arrived. I had it delivered to work, I was looking forward to it all morning, but it didn't so I thought after luch they will call me about the delivery time. I was so surprised when I came back from a delicious lunch and this was waiting on my chair <3 I cant wait to wear my new handbag all the time, I will cuddle with it and sleep with it and :D haha share my joy, have a look :)

Family reunion

Every year, the last weekend of may is dedicated to a family reunion. This year it took place near the lovely town called Zlaté Hory (=golden mountains) its on the border with Poland and in the past they used to mine gold in there - clue is in the name :)

Witches and Black cats

Today was such a beautiful day. We had nothing to do at work, but we had a lot of fun :D also, we finished early, so I finally got a chance to visit the sweetest little shop - Black Cat. As today is the Walpurgis night, they had yummy bloody snacks, witch hats and special discount for everyone arriving on broomsticks...I told the owner I arrived in a hell machine (my lovely car) :D 

I went there with a plan of exactly what I wanted, also with a limited budget (they dont have the option to pay card until next week) which is fortunate, otherwise I'd spend all my money! :) 

So here, I got this awesome skeleton hand necklace, you can get your own here...

I know where to spend all my money from now on :) 

Punky fish!

On Saturday my sister, our cousin and I took a trip to Ostrava. My sister studies there and as she wants to move to another apartment next semester, she asked us if we could help. Of course moving was not the only reason to visit. The other was a concert of our favorite band Rybičky 48 (it means Fish 48 :D )

The club it took place at reminded me of my favorite club in Brno, the atmosphere and music they plyed before the band started playing. Also, the supporting band was really great. Young boys maybe around 17, but great skill on their instruments and they had funny and cheeky lyrics. Very skate-punky and really awesome. And as they are from around Ostrava and I'm not, I asked what their name was and their sweet (too young for me :P ) bass player gave me a badge so that I won't forget ;) The band is called On the way by the way :D :D :D

In their merch stand the band had awesome and really cheap (for band merch!) tees, so of course my sister and I bought got one - the same :D It's in the washer now, but I can't wait to wear it and take some outfit pics with it ;) 

Happy Valentine's day

My boyfriend and I don't celebrate V-day :) we are going out with friends tonight just like any other Friday :) But my sister has to work today, and the club has a Valentine's day party. She hates it and so I had this idea to make something for her :D :D :D it's a brooch so she can wear it on her work tee :D and give everyone the idea :P not sure if the boss is gonna like it, but she said she'll wear it anyway :D

Sew tiny!

As you may know, I got kind of obsessed with my new Monster High doll :D (not childish at all, after some research I found there are many adults obsessed with customizing and creating their own dolls, even naming them, photoshooting with them ... :P )

Well, while I was organizing my sewing supplies and going through my patterns, I stumbled upon some leftover lace (from spring when I was obsessed with sewing it on socks :D ) and my basket of fabric leftovers, so I decided to sew for my super cool Operetta the Monster :) And as my five year old sister also got her Monster high - Draculaura, I decided I could sew a dress for her too :) 

This dress you see here is actually meant for Draculaura, as her color theme is pink and black. This pink fabric is cotton I used to line my sister's spiky clutch and when I saw it in the basket I knew I had to use it :D 

To make the dress I first measured some parts of the doll's body such as waist (1 cm diameter - envy!), body length and some more. I started with a circle just as if I was making a circle skirt for myself.Then I cut it out into hexagon to make it all spiderweb shaped.  I was going to embroider the spiderweb on, but I need to get rid of my black fabric paint so it doesn't dry out, so I ended up painting it on. It turned out quite cool i think ;) Next I sew lace all around the diameter. I cut a slightly bigger circle of stiff tulle for an underskirt and basted them together. 

Next I made a bodice, I only measured the length and eyeballed the rest (these dolls are really monstrous in proportion, they have super tiny waist and boobs the same width as hips...). The bodice looked a bit plain so I added a strip of lace on top as well. 

The worst part was attaching a velcro to the back! pain in the ass, but unfortunately it's necessary for the dresses to be wearable :( It's a bit weird, I'm ashamed to say I had no idea how to sew it in, so the result is the back part of the dress sticks out a bit. Thank god for Draculaura's long hair to cover it :D 

As I was in the making already, I decided to make a little matching hairbow for my sweet sister to wear. I hope she likes it as much as I do :D

Tattoo Love pt.5 - final

Loučím se se sérií o tetování. Tady je moje nová sovička od Aničky ze studia Storm :) sranda, přála bych vám vidět jak jsem to fotila :D Ještě bude jedno sezení s doděláním tmavších stínů. Původně jsem chtěla barvy, ale nakonec se mi líbí víc takhle, takže jí přidáme jenom trošku kontrastu :) Potom přidám profi foto :D 

Farewell to my tattoo series. Here is my new owl piece from Anne of Storm tattoo. I wish you could see me trying to take a picture :D  We will have one more session where she will add more shading. Originally I wanted it in color, but I turned to like the black and white version better. When it's done I'll add a better photo :)

Mothers' day gift...

Den Matek je tradice která se u nás celkem dodržuje. Každý rok vybíráme kytky pro babičku a jdeme k ní všichni na návštěvu. A maminka taky nepřijde zkrátka :) Požádala si o taštičku na svou nově nakoupenou kosmetiku :) (dlooouho se nemalovala a teď se rozhodla že by zase mohla) a já jako hodná dcera jsem ji měla hotovou ještě včera a stihla jsem ji předat na den matek :) 

Mothers day is one of the traditions my family is really keen on. Every year we pick potted flowers for Grandma and later we all go to visit her :) And my Mom asked me to create her a cosmetic bag. She hasn't used make-up for a loong time, few years, and she decided she could start with it again. So me, as a nice daughter, I was in a rush to have it finished and I actually managed to have it finished by the evening :)

Zatím poslední přírustek do sbírky je z prosincové charitativní akce ZKRUHU ze Znojma, made by Lukáš Solík. Je to znak z afrického jazyka Adinkra, jmenuje se Sankofa, více si můžete přečíst na Wikipedii

The last one in my collection so far was done in December 2012, on a charity tattoo con in Znojmo. It's done by Lukáš Solík. The symbol comes from West african language Adinkra, it's called Sankofa, and you can read more about it on Wikipedia

Tattoo Love pt. 3

Další ze série mých tetování :) Tohle je celkem nové, mám ho teprve od září 2012. Je ze salonu z Brna, který mi doporučil kamarád, ale už bych tam nešla, protože se mi moc nelíbilo že mi vypadala barva na několika místech, což se mi předtím nestalo... Tetování se celkem špatně hojilo, i přesto že jsem ho mazala jak vzteklá, a dvě předtím byly úplně  v pohodě, takže to přikládám způsobu práce... Jo a ještě navíc, když jsem si to chtěla nechat opravit, řekl ať dojdu až v létě.. to je snad moje věc kdy to chci opravit ne ?! Ale ten obrázek se mi stejně líbí :)

Next one from my tattoo series. This one is quite new, since September 2012. It's from a studio that is quite popular, it was recommended by a friend, but I wouldn't go there for another, as I didn't like the way they worked, and also, even though I took great care of it while healing, pieces of color got lost somewhere. Yeah, and when I went to get it fixed, he denied, saying I should wait until summer. I think it's my decision when I want my tattoo (that I paid for) fixed.... oh well, but I like the image, anyway.

Tattoo Love pt. 2

Moje druhé tetování mám 2 roky, dělal ho Jakub Dobeš alias Koki (facebook), dala jsem si ho jako dárek za dokončení prváku na výšce :)  původní návrh jsem si kreslila sama, Kuba mi ho potom podle obrázku překreslil přímo na záda, bez šablony :) Můj malý lapač miluju a jenom mě mrzí že ho moc často nevidím :D

I've had my second tattoo for two years now, it was done by Jakub Dobeš aka Koki (facebook). I gave it to myself as a gift for finishing first year in university :)  I made the sketch for it myself, and then Jacob freehanded it straight onto my back. I love my little dreamcatcher, I'd love to see it much more often... :)

Sewing bee

Did you hear about the new BBC's reality show The Great British Sewing Bee? I found out about it on my favorite sewing blog, Tilly and the buttons. Tilly was one of the competitors and shared some info and her progress on her blog. 

The show airs on Tuesday, I download it (bad Luci) from torrents on Wednesdays, because you can't watch BBC videos outside of Britain. I love the show, I just saw the third episode now, I love to see how other (more skilled but still amateur) home sewers work.

I like the fact that it is reality TV, but opposite to American reality shows ( I'm currently on a Project Runway marathon), there is no drama, everything is much more friendly, and the atmosphere is almost like a family... Such a pity that the winner will be known next week so the show will be over. Hopefully there will be another season...

i absolutely adore this. the great part about Tarina jewellery is, that because it's handmade, it is not that difficult to create something similar. great for my current pastel obsession. and of course anything Alice is a win :)

this is a bit too cheesy even for me, but i think it may be pretty easy to diy as well :) maybe the hearts more pastel colours and cherub silver would work better for me :)
