Witches and Black cats

Today was such a beautiful day. We had nothing to do at work, but we had a lot of fun :D also, we finished early, so I finally got a chance to visit the sweetest little shop - Black Cat. As today is the Walpurgis night, they had yummy bloody snacks, witch hats and special discount for everyone arriving on broomsticks...I told the owner I arrived in a hell machine (my lovely car) :D 

I went there with a plan of exactly what I wanted, also with a limited budget (they dont have the option to pay card until next week) which is fortunate, otherwise I'd spend all my money! :)

No mercy

Yesterday I went for a shopping trip with my boyfriend and some friends. It turned to be more eating trip, because my companions were all boys so our first stop was McDonalds :D and we got one gift for my boyfriend's brother. And this t-shirt for me :) it's from the mens section of New Yorker. I gave it my usual treatment (snipping of the hemline and neckline, shortening sleeves and rolling all the hems :) now I'm thinking I'd like to add silver studs between the leopard frame and the white frame but I'm not sure how the studs would hold up in the washing mashine... I need to try on the piece I snipped of :) 

I absolutely love it :P

Loot

I did a little shopping today, and here is what I got :)

Second hand goodness

Today my Mom sent me to buy lunch and bring it to work for her :) As I was already outside and the weather was nice, I decided to go have a look in some thrift shops... I went to the one where they sell by weight, and here is what I got... for little over 100 CZK :)

the store owner had this sweater on her chair. I asked if it fell from display or if it was her own. She said she wears it when she gets cold, but it's for sale and she gets another one if I want it :) so yay :) the sleeves are super long, which I really like and the color is great to get me through gloomy winter days :) 

This sweater is a awesome color, which my camera wasn t capable of capturing... it's minty green/gray with tiny strands of red in it... 

and finally, this great sweatshirt. It's great rusty color (my favorite one the last few weeks) nice pattern, and elbow patches! I love elbow patches, I see them on many people, but I was never able to find anything with them :( so I'm searching thrift shops for suede stuff to cut up into patches and revamp all my cardigans :)

New in - fall edition

As the weather gets darker, so does my style, so this shopping trip reflected all of it ... I finally gave in to the cross trend (does my tote bag count? ) and also bought some gloves...

Oversize cross sweater to go with my boots :D 

Finally I found a sheer sleeveless shirt, I will wear it to all the parties I go to this winter :) and such a great sale price (70 CZK) 

Cross print infinity scarf and 2 pairs of gloves, red ones to go with my fur, and the other pair to be studded :) 

News

I was busy the last few days with work, catching up with friends and life in general :) Today, finally I had a day off, so I spent it helping my Mom clean our apartment, then we went for lunch ( Mexican restaurant, yum) and shopping. Next month I'll celebrate my birthday, and as Fall/winter stuff is already sold in stores, my Mom decided to give me a birthday gift a month too early :D and she bought me some other stuff too, such as socks, hair ties and tiny necessities ;) 

I absolutely love this pillow, even though I have so many of them, I might need a bigger bed soon :D (but still there are so many pillows Id like to have) they also had a second version with the owl's body made of tweed, I might need that one too :D  

Mom bought me those cute socks, because our washing mashine seems to be eating them (does it happen to anyone else ? :D ) and I got the current issue of Burda. There are some pretty patterns that I want to sew for Fall, so I need to plan a trip to a fabric store :) 

And finally, my early birthday gift.... It was love at first sight... I'm speechless, those are the ultimate dream boots, I already have a milion outfits planned with them, hopefully I will be able to capture some of them :)

Two weeks for now there's a flea market in my town, so if the weather allows I will go and sell some of my creations :) Tomorrow and the next few days will be filled with crafting and creating :) Get ready to see a lot of earrings and stuff :D 

Thrift store

yesterday I went to a thrift store to get more plain tees to paint on ;) I got 2 of them for 10 CZK. Also, I found a piece of fake fur, piece of coca-cola print cotton fabric and crochet throw - I will turn it into a vest.

Tropical

I bought this super awesome handbag from a friend. I only have it for a few days, but I wear it all the time now :D It's really super pretty and adorable, and also can hide my MacBook and all essentials :) I have great fun pulling stuff from my closet, because I already own some older pieces in colours corresponding with the ones in the bag... great way to start wearing unworn clothes again :) And this below may be my go to outfit for the rest of summer :)

I haven't created anything for a long time... Not counting crochet that I also put away for a while because I was too busy... I was planning to go to beadshop for a while now, but the one I go to was closed for 2 weeks, and now when it reopened, I have to wait for my money to arrive :D So I decided to make a list of wish-to-buy things that I would love to craft with... Complete with links to stores I took pics from :D

this ribbon would be great for headbands 

I have seen those feathers on Etsy both used in jewellery and to buy, but never got around to buy them. Maybe now :)

That is no way the end of my want-to-buy craft supplies list, but I thought it was too much already :D In my virtual shopping carts I have already spent more money than I could ever make in my life. Pity I can't switch grocery shopping for bead shopping :D 

Bank holidays

The 5th and 6th of July are national holidays in the Czech republic. To me, they are not that important, one is religious and one is political, but no big celebrations take place on these days for normal people :)    My mom wasn't working and she wanted to check some clothes shops in a nearby town, so we took a roadtrip there :) Here is what SHE <3 bought for me :) I love going shopping with mom :D 

I love this top so much. I bought one for myself last month in off-white color, and it ws a huge dilemma for me at that time which color to choose (they also had teal and black). Now it was reduced to half price, which means I would buy them all, but they only had this one left. It's so perfect, racerback, lace, my favorite colors, and flared fit. summer staple indeed. and only 98 CZK

these pants I bought with the intention to wear them to work, but they are so super comfortable, I think I need to buy another pair in floral print and wear them all the time (and the floral ones they had would go perfectly with both my lace tops :D ) my boy thinks they look like jammies, but what does he know ? :D

and this... absolute perfection. my first peplum top with such a beautiful print. I had the intention to sew one for myself, but couldn't find the perfect fabric for it. Now I have it for 98 CZK :D I already have a few outfits planned with it, so hopefully I will be able to capture them :) 

With all these beautiful clothes (not counting the ones I already had :D ) i really need to start taking more outfit pictures. Not that I want to be a fashion blogger or something, just to document my style for myself, and maybe see a potential of the clothes I already have in a new light. Does it make sense? I don't  know :D

crafty shopping

on Thursday, I visited a craft shop after a long time and I'm so glad I did! I had an urge to make some accesories for spring for a long time, and I realised the were closing for a month, so I'm so glad I did my shopping when I had a chance... and I already made something of my pearls :D

later that day I went to fabric store, originally to get some scraps to properly try quilting before actually buying some more quantities... and here's what I spent all my money on ... my phone camera doesn't capture the beauty of the pattern properly, I will reshoot once my camera is back from repairman. This will make such a lovely spring/summer dress... :)
