Jewellery making

In the last couple of days I made some new jewellery. I wanted to make something for my secondary school ball in March, so I picked up some black faceted beads and other stuff I didn't use for some time. I got kinda carried away, and instead of making something to go with my LBD I made these...

I call this necklace The Black Dahlia. It's made with two metal cutouts glued together to form the ornament, dahlia cabochon, teardrop beads and two types of chain. I need to get some blouse to wear it with :) it's for sale if anyone is interested :)

I was recently looking at a lot of gothic inspired jewellery and kinda wanted to make my own choker. I had this lacy ribbon at home and all I needed to buy were those clasps to put the ends in. I'm thinking about adding dainty silver chain to hang the same way as it does on the necklace above.

I really like this necklace, although it was a bitch to put together, opening all those jump rings, eye pins, closing it all :) I love the color of these red faceted glass beads. If I get my hands on some nice red clutch, this may be the one I'll wear to the ball.

These components were originally meant to be earrings, but as I had them spread on the table I thought a bracelet could look nice. I have some more of these so I can make them into earrings and have a set :) 

I absolutely love this necklace. Those flowers are metal cutouts. They have a tiny hole in the middle, perfect to screw in a spike (leftovers from my spiky clutches) I'm really thinking to wear this one to the Ball, because it's edgy and spiky, but still quite simple, so it would go great with LBD.

I have finished the rest of my astrological sign bracelets during last week, some are already sold :) I love those colors together, but you can already see a camera malfunction...

Stocking up pt. 2

Another portion of my creations prepared for upcoming flea market. Those simple rings and earrings are my favorite, they are easy sellers  because they look so pretty and are inexpensive :) And I like to wear them myself (the lady in craft store was really shocked, she knows my style and never would guess me to wear them :D )

Stocking up

As I mentioned before, I am going to a flea market next week. Yesterday I went to stock up on some components and also picked up some waxed cord and astrological sign pendants. I already used one here for my personal bracelet. Yesterday I bought all of them, but as i wanted to match the colors to those that are assigned with each sign, I was only able to finish these few. On Monday I will pick up some more colors in another shop ;)

Simple

In the last post I mentioned a flea market coming up. Yesterday I took out my pliers and jewellery supplies and got creating. I have some stuff unfinished, need to buy some more things to finish a few pieces etc... These are some finished simple charm earrings, they are the best sellers on every flea, because they are quite cheap, easy to match to any outfit and you can make a great variety. And also they are a good stash buster :) All of these pendants are leftovers from other projects, except for the motorbikes, those i bought to make earrings, because I have a piercing (belly but worn in ear) with the exact same bike :) 

Today I'm going to get some supplies, especially some wax cords for bracelets, and I will share more :) 

Inspired by nature

Today I want to share some new jewellery I made in the last few days. I feel greatly inspired after my short vacation... This is somethig I missed for the first part of summer... The kick of inspiration, the urge to create, to see shapeless materials form into something wearable and pretty... 

My personal sun necklace. Last few days have been overcast and rainy, so every ray of sun is needed. I created my own here with lava bead, wooden pendant, leather strip and some chain. 

You may remember this owl from my treasury post, I was hoping to wear it all summer, but with work and tight money I didn't get a chance to buy the leather... Last week I decided to make this braided wrap bracelet, inspired by my friend's necklace (ahoj marsí) I added some beads and a tree charm and made it my guardian :) I put it up on sale on my facebook page, but I'm not sure if I want to sell it :) 

This mandala/dreamcatcher was originally intended to be a necklace, so I only got one of these pendants... But it didn't feel right on chain nor leather, so I let it sit for a while to decide how to fix it... Then I just decided to make it into an assymetrical pair of earrings with single feather for the other one. I really love it this way, may need to make some more :)

Those hoops are just a little experiment with beads that turned out this way... I will probably gift it to a friend, I know of one who likes this style :)  

This last bracelet also turned out pretty nice, for the fact it started as another experiment... I wanted to see if I remembered how to make a sliding knot :) turned out I do, so I added charms and made it my astrological sign bracelet :) also for sale, with any sign you might wish...

Stone and wood

On Monday I went for a shopping trip to Brno. A friend of mine had a handbag for me and I wanted to go to my favorite beadshop. And my dear bf wanted to eat at McDonald's :D we managed all three things and here is what I bought at the beadshop :) and I couldn't wait to create from the material... Also, after seeing those pictures I took, I noticed my color choices were a bit muted, like ready for fall, Even though I thought it was still summer, my subconsciousness seems to disagree... I can't wait for next summer :D

this necklace is really unusually dainty for me, but I really loved the painted feather, just paired it with Jade bead and dainty chain... super pretty <3

Chained

Last week a friend told me about a new bead shop in my town. They also have online shop, so I checked it out and decided to go there, because there were some pretty charms and beads, but I always prefer to see these for myself to check the quality... This top picture is what I bought there... Those pink neon beads are to make a bracelet for my sister. Some pendants, clasps, chain, waxed cotton rope to make macrame bracelets, and earring hooks were a gift from the shop owner :)  

I made this little breastplate necklace with FIMO beads, metal beads and chain. I really like the way it turned out and I want to make more of this kind, just need to find more beads like this. And I need to get me some plain tops or a dress to wear it on...

I like bracelets and recently I've seen many slave chain bracelets, so I decided to make my own. I used coins I had in my stash for ages and an interesting silver chain... I only hope it will turn darker with time, because this particular light silver is not really my favorite shade, too bright for me ... 

Slave anklet with wing charms, it's really tiny and dainty and looks cute with all my flats :) 

This one I love the most. All supplies used I already had from a long time ago. This gold chain is from a hardware store, so it was difficult to work with it, especially getting the desired lenghts of it :) the gold disc is from a mixed package of beads, I originally intended to make a bracelet from big mismatched beads, but I only collected 5 or so, that it wasn't enough :) Now I used it here and love it. I have some more and intend to make one more anklet like this so they'd look like shoes when I wear them :D The peace sign is howlite - fake turquoise, and other beads are real turquoise.

Please excuse my weird looking foot, it has a strange shape I know :D and the red stain on my foot is an oil burn from work... it's almost gone now

Skulls and crosses

Today I wasn't working, so I spent my day relaxing, sketching, crocheting, and going through my craft supplies stash. 

I bought those ceramic beads in May when I was on our family reunion :) I had some ideas what to do with them, but after going through the vast collection of spacer beads, charms and other stuff I have, I decided to use what I had on hand and make some earrings... 

these are tiny skull with side holes, I have one more pair of these skulls, need to figure out what to use them for :) 

this is my most favorite pair of all those I made today. I like the asymetry and rosary-like cross charm ...  I think I'll keep these to myself, not sure yet if I want to sell them :)
