Jewellery making

In the last couple of days I made some new jewellery. I wanted to make something for my secondary school ball in March, so I picked up some black faceted beads and other stuff I didn't use for some time. I got kinda carried away, and instead of making something to go with my LBD I made these...

I call this necklace The Black Dahlia. It's made with two metal cutouts glued together to form the ornament, dahlia cabochon, teardrop beads and two types of chain. I need to get some blouse to wear it with :) it's for sale if anyone is interested :)

I was recently looking at a lot of gothic inspired jewellery and kinda wanted to make my own choker. I had this lacy ribbon at home and all I needed to buy were those clasps to put the ends in. I'm thinking about adding dainty silver chain to hang the same way as it does on the necklace above.

I really like this necklace, although it was a bitch to put together, opening all those jump rings, eye pins, closing it all :) I love the color of these red faceted glass beads. If I get my hands on some nice red clutch, this may be the one I'll wear to the ball.

These components were originally meant to be earrings, but as I had them spread on the table I thought a bracelet could look nice. I have some more of these so I can make them into earrings and have a set :) 

I absolutely love this necklace. Those flowers are metal cutouts. They have a tiny hole in the middle, perfect to screw in a spike (leftovers from my spiky clutches) I'm really thinking to wear this one to the Ball, because it's edgy and spiky, but still quite simple, so it would go great with LBD. 

All of these are available for sale, I still have material for all :) 

4th Advent: Winter crafting

I wanted to share some stuff I made in the last few days :) I finally caught enough daylight today to take pictures :D I already have that hat brooch on my coat :D and I'm wearing different pair of christmas earrings every day. :)

trees and jigle bells were a lucky find in our local bead shop :) I'm all about kitsch for Christmas :D

Seeing colors

Just a quickie today, before I have to leave for work :) This afternoon I went to visit a friend (upstairs neighbor, how convenient :D ) who is even bigger bead freak than me :) she buys in bulk, and she just got a new work table and bead storage, so she invited me to check it out :) and choose some beads from her stash :) we spent almost 2 hours just digging through :) I left with some treasures that I will share as soon as I take pics (hopefully tomorrow) one of them was this unfinished fake stone chain. I picked some larger beads and added them to it and I'm wearing it to work today :D The earring you can see is made by my friend from lapis gemstone :)

DIY: Bracelet roll

Yesterday I was at the flea market. I have no pictures of my display,  because I went there alone with just my crappy phone and friends came to see me later and the light was already bad for phone pictures... Nevermind, I show you one diy piece of my display, because I managed to save some pictures from my memory card (repairing my camera may take up to a month :( I hope I can borrow a camera from some friends or my sister :P otherwise this blog will be filled with webcam goofiness :D )

So, here's my DIY bracelet display with instructions how to make your own :)...

I started with a paper roll leftover after using up paper towels. I wrapped it in some paper, I used three large sheets of some random paper which I have lying around at home :) This was just to give the roll more volume, just like those rolls in stores have.

Next I took some black scrap and sewn a tube to fit the roll just nice. I made it a lot longer than needed so that I could tuck the ends in and not finish them. I did this because I may want to add some sort of support and before the flea market I had no time to figure that out :D 

And here's my bracelet roll with all my sign bracelets :) I don't have the collection complete anymore :) I sold some of them, I'm happy for it, because I love making them :D 

Stone and wood

On Monday I went for a shopping trip to Brno. A friend of mine had a handbag for me and I wanted to go to my favorite beadshop. And my dear bf wanted to eat at McDonald's :D we managed all three things and here is what I bought at the beadshop :) and I couldn't wait to create from the material... Also, after seeing those pictures I took, I noticed my color choices were a bit muted, like ready for fall, Even though I thought it was still summer, my subconsciousness seems to disagree... I can't wait for next summer :D 

these are lava beads with wooden leaf pendants. really simple but I like it a lot   

these are Coral beads and wooden mandalas. I love them so much, I'm stupid I didn't buy more... 

 more feather earrings... wonder if I ever get tired of those... do you ? :D

this necklace is really unusually dainty for me, but I really loved the painted feather, just paired it with Jade bead and dainty chain... super pretty <3

Chained

Last week a friend told me about a new bead shop in my town. They also have online shop, so I checked it out and decided to go there, because there were some pretty charms and beads, but I always prefer to see these for myself to check the quality... This top picture is what I bought there... Those pink neon beads are to make a bracelet for my sister. Some pendants, clasps, chain, waxed cotton rope to make macrame bracelets, and earring hooks were a gift from the shop owner :)  

I made this little breastplate necklace with FIMO beads, metal beads and chain. I really like the way it turned out and I want to make more of this kind, just need to find more beads like this. And I need to get me some plain tops or a dress to wear it on...

I like bracelets and recently I've seen many slave chain bracelets, so I decided to make my own. I used coins I had in my stash for ages and an interesting silver chain... I only hope it will turn darker with time, because this particular light silver is not really my favorite shade, too bright for me ... 

Slave anklet with wing charms, it's really tiny and dainty and looks cute with all my flats :) 

This one I love the most. All supplies used I already had from a long time ago. This gold chain is from a hardware store, so it was difficult to work with it, especially getting the desired lenghts of it :) the gold disc is from a mixed package of beads, I originally intended to make a bracelet from big mismatched beads, but I only collected 5 or so, that it wasn't enough :) Now I used it here and love it. I have some more and intend to make one more anklet like this so they'd look like shoes when I wear them :D The peace sign is howlite - fake turquoise, and other beads are real turquoise.

Please excuse my weird looking foot, it has a strange shape I know :D and the red stain on my foot is an oil burn from work... it's almost gone now

Beads... beads everywhere

Po dlouhé době jsem se vrátila ke korálkům :) Teda chtěla jsem už dávno, ale teprv minulý týden jsem našla stav :D mám ho už snad 15 roků, už je chudáček úplně rozvrzaný ale překvapivě pořád drží :) tak jsem si stvořila letní indiánský náhrdelník :) 

I got back to beading after a long time... Well I've been meaning to for a long time, but last week I finally found my loom. I've had it for maybe 15 year, it's really wonky, but still holds up quite well :) so I decided to create a summer-colored native american inspired necklace...

hotové dílo ... už zbývá jenom dokončit zapínání, ptž ze zavazování už jsem vyrostla :)

Milý stávek rozhodně nepůjde zpátky do skříně, mám spoustu nápadů na vzory a co se dá všechno okorálkovat :) a zapomněla jsem jaká sranda to je... Kdyby měl někdo zájem o spešl náramek písněte :) Moje poslední kreace (před čtyřmi roky) zahrnovaly např. nápisy Sabaton a I <3 pivo :D 

The loom surely won't be going back to the closet, I have plenty of ideas for patterns and everything that can be beaded...I forgot how great fun loom beading is... If anyone is interested, I can make some custom patterns for you :) my last creations were these (4 years ago) Sabaton and I <3 pivo(beer)
