DIY: Bracelet roll

Yesterday I was at the flea market. I have no pictures of my display,  because I went there alone with just my crappy phone and friends came to see me later and the light was already bad for phone pictures... Nevermind, I show you one diy piece of my display, because I managed to save some pictures from my memory card (repairing my camera may take up to a month :( I hope I can borrow a camera from some friends or my sister :P otherwise this blog will be filled with webcam goofiness :D )

So, here's my DIY bracelet display with instructions how to make your own :)...

I started with a paper roll leftover after using up paper towels. I wrapped it in some paper, I used three large sheets of some random paper which I have lying around at home :) This was just to give the roll more volume, just like those rolls in stores have.

Next I took some black scrap and sewn a tube to fit the roll just nice. I made it a lot longer than needed so that I could tuck the ends in and not finish them. I did this because I may want to add some sort of support and before the flea market I had no time to figure that out :D 

And here's my bracelet roll with all my sign bracelets :) I don't have the collection complete anymore :) I sold some of them, I'm happy for it, because I love making them :D 

Stone and wood

On Monday I went for a shopping trip to Brno. A friend of mine had a handbag for me and I wanted to go to my favorite beadshop. And my dear bf wanted to eat at McDonald's :D we managed all three things and here is what I bought at the beadshop :) and I couldn't wait to create from the material... Also, after seeing those pictures I took, I noticed my color choices were a bit muted, like ready for fall, Even though I thought it was still summer, my subconsciousness seems to disagree... I can't wait for next summer :D 

these are lava beads with wooden leaf pendants. really simple but I like it a lot   

these are Coral beads and wooden mandalas. I love them so much, I'm stupid I didn't buy more... 

 more feather earrings... wonder if I ever get tired of those... do you ? :D

this necklace is really unusually dainty for me, but I really loved the painted feather, just paired it with Jade bead and dainty chain... super pretty <3

Skulls and crosses

Today I wasn't working, so I spent my day relaxing, sketching, crocheting, and going through my craft supplies stash. 

I bought those ceramic beads in May when I was on our family reunion :) I had some ideas what to do with them, but after going through the vast collection of spacer beads, charms and other stuff I have, I decided to use what I had on hand and make some earrings... 

these are tiny skull with side holes, I have one more pair of these skulls, need to figure out what to use them for :) 

this is my most favorite pair of all those I made today. I like the asymetry and rosary-like cross charm ...  I think I'll keep these to myself, not sure yet if I want to sell them :)

DIY: Another tote bag

mám slabost pro tyhle tašky - tote bags, jsou praktické a mají obrovský DIY potenciál. Možná si pamatujete moji soví tašku. tuhle jsem se vydala trošku jiným směrem, kříž je namalovaný barvou na textil a ocvočkovaný. než ji budu nosit tak chvíli počkám jestli o ni někdo bude mít zájem, na prodej je za 150 Kč. když se nikdo neozve začnu ji nosit já :)

I love tote bags, they are practical and have a huge DIY potential. maybe you remember my owl tote. With this one I went with different technique. The cross is painted with textile paint and studded. Before I start carrying it with me, I'll wait for a while if someone wants to buy it (150 CZK) if no one is interested, i star carrying it myself :)

Jako pokaždé když přichází léto ( i když letos to tak podle počasí nevypadá ) se objeví moje hipízácká stránka která miluje peříčka, tyrkys, čelenky s kytkama a Janis Joplin... v blízké budoucnosti očekávejte nával peříčkových doplňků, lapačů, korálkových náramků a vůbec :D první vlaštovky jsou tyhle naušky, růžové už jste viděli... No a hned jak jsem je dala na fejsbukovou stránku MyLittleRiot ta se dvě kámošky ozvaly že by je chtěly :D jupí, důvod koupit další pírka :D modré pro Kiku a zelené pro Ilču. Kika už je má, snad se jí budou dobře nosit :)

Every year, with coming summer (even though this year the weather doesn't look like that ), there is this hippie part of me that emerges. She loves feathers, turquoise, floral headbands and Janis Joplin... In the nearest future, expect to see heaps of feather accessories, dreamcatchers, beaded bracelets etc... first are these feather earrings. You may already have seen the pink/orange ones. As soon as I listed them on MyLittleRiot facebook page, two of my friends asked for custom ones. Yay, more reasons to buy more feathers... blue ones for Kika and green for Ilca... Kika already has hers, I hope to see her wear them often :)
