Dreaming of fabric

I haven't been sewing for sooo long... I really miss it. Last time I did the lining for my crochet handbag, but that's not really challenging :) I would love to sew a fall corduroy skirt, and some tops, but now I want to show you some of my bookmarked fabrics for my dream garments, disregarding the season ahead :) 

This fiesta fabric would be perfect for a headscarf and some full skirt I'd pair it with a blouse and wrap flowers and scarf into my hair - Frida kahlo style...

I want to make cosmetic bags and luggage tags from this one, love it...

this pretty fluffy fabric in this exact shade would be great for a bathrobe or a sweatshirt for my Mom :)

I've been lusting after these two for a while, I would mix them with some matching solids and make a panelled maxi dress...

Also this one has been on my wishlist for a while. Perfect for psychobilly dress, I actually have seen them ready made (Too fast clothing? I'm not sure...) but prefer to make my own...And the fabric is on sale now so I'm really thinking about it...

I am sooo excited with these two... And there are more star wars fabrics, I had to hold back not to copy all of them here :D I don't know what I would make of these, but I know I need to have them!!!!

This one would be turned into a dress and maybe some more stuff for my sister. She could cover her whole world in it, she is a huge HK lover...and 20yrs old :D :D :D

I would love to make car seat covers with this one, even though it's not too practical :)

I sooo adore this one, would be perfect for slouchy boho pants to live in through summer...

I can see this one turned into a 3/4circle skirt with a sash or a belt to tie into a bow 

This tattoo fabric would be really pretty turned into a rockabilly dress, but that maybe a bit too obvious, I love it so much, I could make more things with it ;)

OOTD: Lost and found

I've had this dress for maybe 5 or 6 years, but I haven 't worn them for a really long time. Especially because I didn't remember I had them with my overflowing closet... :( but now when I found them, I'm going to wear them more often... Yesterday I wore them for a shopping trip :)

Chained

Last week a friend told me about a new bead shop in my town. They also have online shop, so I checked it out and decided to go there, because there were some pretty charms and beads, but I always prefer to see these for myself to check the quality... This top picture is what I bought there... Those pink neon beads are to make a bracelet for my sister. Some pendants, clasps, chain, waxed cotton rope to make macrame bracelets, and earring hooks were a gift from the shop owner :)  

I made this little breastplate necklace with FIMO beads, metal beads and chain. I really like the way it turned out and I want to make more of this kind, just need to find more beads like this. And I need to get me some plain tops or a dress to wear it on...

I like bracelets and recently I've seen many slave chain bracelets, so I decided to make my own. I used coins I had in my stash for ages and an interesting silver chain... I only hope it will turn darker with time, because this particular light silver is not really my favorite shade, too bright for me ... 

Slave anklet with wing charms, it's really tiny and dainty and looks cute with all my flats :) 

This one I love the most. All supplies used I already had from a long time ago. This gold chain is from a hardware store, so it was difficult to work with it, especially getting the desired lenghts of it :) the gold disc is from a mixed package of beads, I originally intended to make a bracelet from big mismatched beads, but I only collected 5 or so, that it wasn't enough :) Now I used it here and love it. I have some more and intend to make one more anklet like this so they'd look like shoes when I wear them :D The peace sign is howlite - fake turquoise, and other beads are real turquoise.

Please excuse my weird looking foot, it has a strange shape I know :D and the red stain on my foot is an oil burn from work... it's almost gone now

Chambray dress restyle

BEFORE:

Shapeless thrift store dress gifted to me by my boyfriend's mother. They were too big on my chest, hips,  not to mention the straps were snipped off at a weird length... but i loved the material so I got to work...

AFTER: 

I snipped off the top part with the straps to create a strapless dress with lower back

Skulls and crosses

Today I wasn't working, so I spent my day relaxing, sketching, crocheting, and going through my craft supplies stash. 

I bought those ceramic beads in May when I was on our family reunion :) I had some ideas what to do with them, but after going through the vast collection of spacer beads, charms and other stuff I have, I decided to use what I had on hand and make some earrings... 

these are tiny skull with side holes, I have one more pair of these skulls, need to figure out what to use them for :) 

this is my most favorite pair of all those I made today. I like the asymetry and rosary-like cross charm ...  I think I'll keep these to myself, not sure yet if I want to sell them :)

Delicious!

I love taking pictures of food, even though my beloved family laughs at me, but I just like the way food looks on a plate, how it can be styled and so on :)

Spaghetti Bolognese - one of my best favorite meals, I could eat it every day :D 

Caprese is my favorite light meal all year round, but it is much better in summer with freshly picked homegrown basil

I eat salad variations over and over through summer. This one is lettuce, tomatoes, sweetcorn and onion with balsamic vinegar dressing and chilli oil

Delicious salmon my Mom made :) served with parsley potatoes and salad

Pudding and yoghurt dessert with strawberries and grapes. Very light and not too sweet, great for summer

Little helper

This huge bun is not the outcome of teasing my hair, it didn't even grow. It's awesome how a piece of plastic net can make such a big difference... I tried sock buns before ( used one of my bf's socks, he never figured out where did it go :D ), but it wasn't solid when I pinned it up. Last Saturday I went to visit a friend working in a jewellery store and picked it up (along with the new silicone tunnel you see me wearing in the above picture...). I have been doing my hair with the bun maker thing every day since :) My hair stays in place all day, holds the shape and I don't need to use too much hairspray :) if it wasn't for my fringe, I wouldn't need it at all :) And this miracle cost me only 40 CZK (cca 1,5 Euro)

do you ever have problems with losing bobby pins ? I always buy a 100 pack and two weeks later they are all gone... this is the leftover I found in my wallet, somebody needs to invent bobby pins with a tracking device asap...
